Yippee Ki Yi Yaay

This week was spent with Country Western Church. The name says it all. They have a large circular area fenced in behind the church for rodeos and riding lessons. They have their baptisms in a horse trough. (not used by horses) The pastor, worship team, and most of the other members can always be found wearing a cowboy hat, tight jeans, cowboy boots, and occasionally spurs. This church rocks. There are a lot of people involved in the VBS and the church isn't very big. Our living accommodations aren't too shabby either. There are three extra bedrooms for the four of us to stay in, and one of them has the whole surround sound, large screen TV, deal. Besides just being a nice house, there are 4 bathrooms and two other rooms with quite large televisions. The back yard includes a large heated pool, a trampoline, three horses, an area for riding the horses, and some chickens and goats, all in their appropriate pins. All of this only 15 minutes away from the strip. I've spent many a night in the pool chair just redden our prayin or just straight up chillin'. Vegas nights are beautiful. I love the vast open sky, unobstructed by trees or hills or fog. If you can see the sky at night then you can tell where the strip is. Where it looks like the sun is rising, that is where the strip is. That's a lot of light. Well next week I go to Beatty for my final week of missions. Its 100 miles from Vegas and apparently pretty far from civilization.(aka Wal-Mart) I just hope they have a comp with a cd burner. I'm out of memory on my camera. Oh yeah, we played RISK and I won this time. My how I do love world domination. Chris told his girlfriend back home about it and she went out and bought it. RISK, its not just for power hungry nerds anymore. We're just better at it. Oh yeah, last night I got to be "Fred" a deeply tanned puppet with a lame sense of humor(mine). I've never done puppetry before. The whole thing was spur of the moment and add-libbed. Fred helped Pastor Joel explain the ABC's of becoming a Christian to all of the kids at VBS.(If you want to know what they are e-mail me.)
