weekend away

I spent last weekend with Candice's grandparents in Washington, NC.  It was fun. We got to watch one turtle slap another turtle around (literally). I had no idea they slapped each other. It is quite humorous to watch.
We all stayed up late Sat night talking. Well, i listened, the old folks talked.  I miss that.  I am surrounded by people my own age, so its nice to hear some ole' tymer stories sometimes.  It makes me miss back home a little bit. There is certainly no shortage of old people in Clarksburg, WV.
It makes me think of the wednesday nights i'd spent after church listening to Arlie Hall. Its one thing to be old, but then to match that with West Virginia's cultural and technological lag behind other parts of the country, you get some very interesting stories.

"Reign over Me"- awesome i give it a 9 for Drama
"Meet the Robinsons"- it was okay. Frankly, anything involving time travel is going to annoy me a little bit just because it will inevitably become absurdly illogical. It is probalby my least favorite computer animated movie, well right after Fish Tale. i give it a 4.

I meant to add I don't consider myself in the same category as Arlie. Although I didn't get to spend as much time with him(& Lou)that you kids did, I was fortunate to at different times get to talk with him and listen(believe it or not). Arlie, Lou as well as Bill Locke(in spite of the AC challenge we had) were true men of God that definatley had some interesting stories.
GOD BLESS
DAD

Does the truth have any bearing on which way you go?
