Our society, our own friggin ex-president likes to be very legalistic about the definition of sex. I've had more than one friend, both straight and gay, tell me that they weren't having "sex" because there wasn't specifically penis to vagina penetration. Jesus had a different view on the definition of sex."But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. "Mt 5:28
So, anything that brings lustful thoughts to our minds sex. For the sake of argument i'm gonna draw te line at kissing, and even that is a very, very gray area. ANYTHING beyond kissing is gonna be a sin. ANYTHING. It doesn't matter if it's a guy and a girl, two girls, or two guys, it's sex. So when i say "sexual relationship" i'm referring to both straight and gay.
The next question is "how could I biblically justify a sexual relationship? The answer is of course MARRIAGE. Not "legal" either. What a government defines as marriage as ZERO effect on what Jesus says of marriage. Jesus talks of marriage in Mattew 19:3-12. http://bible1.crosswalk.com/OnlineStudyBible/bible.cgi?passage=mt+19&version=csb&showtools=0
I'm gonna start at 6 and work my way back, so just try follow me.
Jesus mentions the importance of marriage in verse 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, man must not separate." Thats a pretty heavy statement. He's clearly stating the sacredness of sex and marriage.
So, the only way a homosexual relationship (since it is sexual) can be justified is if it is through marriage.
In verse 5 Jesus had said "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh" Well, that gets in the way of a homosexual marriage because He says "a man...to his wife"
-But, what if He was just using "man and wife" as an example because that's what the pharisees would relate with.
-This is a valid point and therefore, based only on this verse, there isn't enough concrete evidence to say that two men can't get married. That is why He said, "He who created them in the beginning made them male and female," in verse 4.
These verse finalize the argument. Sex can only be justified through biblical marriage, and biblical marriage can only be between one man and one woman. Jesus Himself said it. In fact He said "man... female" or "man...wife" three times in the three sentences talking of marriage. He was stressing that marriage was between a man and woman.
-I tried, i really did, to find a biblical justification for homosexuality. But, even if i ignored the OT(which condemned homosexuality), even if i ignored the NT (which condemned homosexuality) , Jesus' words still condemn homosexuality. There's no getting around it.
- i must end on a hppy note however. Jesus died to save the homosexuals. This argument is not one of hate or malice. This is of love and great sadness for those trapped in their sin. I started with Corintians 6, and so i shall end with it.
11 Some of you were like this; but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corintians 6:11

thumbs up scot. good work and kudos. can I say enough? keep safe buddy
Bea-U-tiful! Never before have I heard it so efficiently and competently stated!
Scot--
It seems your argument has a multitude of holes that I will not even address here. My main concern is your blatant use of prooftexting--that is, taking passages from the Bible to support your own needs without considering the Book as a whole. Please refer to the New Oxford Annotated Bible to reconsider those passages which directly relate to "homosexuality." You will find that those passages refer more specifically to homosexual ritual sex that was a sin in that it was associated with other gods. Moreover, I believe that the passage you quote in your argument does its best to support you, however, it fails. You allow for a "gray area" in the realm of kissing, perhaps because you yourself do not believe kissing is a sin(?). But, if you were to seriously consider the text at the level of strict enforcement you demand elsewhere, you must consider the mere lustful glance or thought to be sex, and therefore, surely, you yourself are not clean of sin. I say this not to call you a sinner, but to link you with all sinners in the world, including homosexuals. All God's children being sinners, you do not have the authority to judge which sins are worse than others.
